Responsibilities: - Lead the FCS purchasing function to minimize the company’soverall purchasing costs without compromising quality or reliability of supply - Contribute to the development of the organisation’s overallsupply and logistics strategy - Establish purchasing budgets, plans, policies, systems, andprocedures that will achieve these strategic objectives - Identify, evaluate, and capitalise on opportunities toreduce purchasing costs by improving the FCS’s buying patterns and supplychannels - Evaluate, negotiate, and manage the most complex orstrategically important supplier and vendor relationships to secure terms thatare in the FCS’s best interest - Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of managers andother professionals to ensure that purchasing activities meet establishedtargets and standards Requirements: - Bachelor Degree and/or above - Must: · At least 8 year’s experience on purchasing managementposition in machinery manufacturing environment · Possess strong analytical and research skills and a goodknowledge of manufacturing operations. A solid understanding of major factorswhich will directly result in an organization's profitability, and holdproactive attitude to work cross functionally to drive operational excellence · Possess good knowledge and implementation skills in supplychain management, including supplier sourcing and development, purchasingnegotiation and logistics · Computer literated. Familiar with today's major ERP systemapplications and databases.
