Position: Sourcing Engineer

Job Purpose and Objectives:

Ø       This position is responsible for Crown Suzhou inventory parts supplier sourcing and contract development.

Responsibility：

Ø       Develop supplier profile, collect and keep on file parts’ engineering approval documentation.

Ø       Lead supplier capability and process auditing.

Ø       Identify Suzhou plant inventory parts’ sourcing requirements.  Solicit, evaluate and analyze supplier quotations. Develop purchasing contract with suppliers.

Ø       Create the cost building for inventory parts,   follow up raw material price trend and adjust the parts’ price accordingly if it is required.

Ø       Identify supplier’s sourcing requirements for dies, fixtures and tooling.  Solicit, evaluate and analyze supplier quotations. Develop purchasing contract and ownership agreement with suppliers for dies, fixtures and tooling.

Ø       Coordinate First Article qualification and verification process until product is released for production.

Ø       Lead initiation and resolution of supplier or deviation requests and material substitutions.  

Ø       Work with supplier on EO implementation.

Ø       Work closely with tactical purchasing team to resolve production PO issues and problems to ensure on-time production and delivery of quality products.

Ø       Coordinate with tactical purchasing team and assist suppliers in Kanban, consignment and buffer inventory management to maintain uninterrupted material flow within supply chain.

Ø       Conduct research on potential supplier base and attend important trade shows to develop potential supplier database in assigned commodity. Investigate new sourcing opportunities and new production process.

Ø       Work with suppliers to achieve annual cost reductions.

Ø       Support global sourcing.

Requirements:

1. University degree with major in material，mechanical or engineering related field

2. Minimum of 3 years work experience in material sourcing/purchasing function, has experience in supply management, experience in raw material, machining, fabrication, casting & forging is a good plus.

3. Good communication, price negotiation, contract generation, organizing and coordination skills.

4. Good project management skills and experienced in project management

5. Experience in new supplier and part qualify process.

6. Good spoken and written English.

7. Can adapt business travel in domestic and oversea
